What is a root canal?
Root canal (endodontic) treatment is designed to eliminate bacteria from infected canals in the roots, prevent reinfection, and save the natural tooth. Inflamed or infected pulp is removed; the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned, disinfected, filled and sealed.
