What We Treat

Common dental emergencies we handle every day

If you're in pain or something doesn't look right, call us — most dental problems are easier to fix the sooner you're seen.

Severe Toothache

We find the cause of the pain and treat it — with a filling, root canal or, when needed, an extraction.

Broken or Chipped Tooth

Repaired with bonding, a same-day crown or a veneer to restore both look and function.

Knocked-Out Tooth

Time-critical. Come in immediately — re-implantation works best within the first hour.

Swelling & Abscess

We drain the infection, relieve the pressure and treat the source — and prescribe antibiotics when needed.

Lost Filling or Crown

Re-cemented or replaced quickly to protect the tooth and stop the sensitivity.

Braces & Soft-Tissue

Poking wires, broken brackets, cuts to the gums, lips or cheeks — relieved and repaired.

First, Stay Calm

What to do right now

A few simple steps before you reach us can make a real difference. When in doubt, call (212) 925-7066.

Pick it up by the crown (the white part), not the root. Gently rinse — don't scrub. If you can, place it back in the socket and bite on a clean cloth; if not, keep it in milk or saliva. Come in within the hour.
Rinse with warm salt water and gently floss to remove any trapped food. Use over-the-counter pain relief as directed — and avoid placing aspirin directly on the gum. Call us so we can find and treat the cause.
Save any pieces and rinse your mouth with warm water. Apply a cold compress to the outside of the cheek to reduce swelling. Avoid chewing on that side and call us for a same-day repair.
Swelling can signal an infection that needs prompt care. Use a cold compress and call us right away. Seek the ER if you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, or rapidly spreading facial swelling.
